Allium cristophii (syn. A.albopilosum)

Silvery amethyst florets with a green eye form a loose airy globe up to 20cm across. 40cm high stems, flowering in December. The dried heads are dramatic. A hot dry spot in summer is essential. Common name: Star of Persia.
