Small 5cm oval flowerheads start green then slowly colour, from the top down, to a deep reddish-mauve. Chive-like foliage with stems 60-80cm high, flowering January. Hardy and a quick multiplier. Associates well with lavender and yellow daylilies. Common name: Drumsticks.
